What you need to know about parenting
Becoming a parent automatically comes when you have a child or adopt one. As a parent you are expected to rear and raise the child in the best way possible you can. Of course it should be within your means. The child should not be raised to expect more than what one can afford. Spoiling a child – maybe something like it –pampering a child would be a different thing. Parents have rights on their children and should be aware of them, at least most of them. The legal rights of parents are embodied in the civil code, in case you would want to know more. The civil code is of course based on norms generally accepted by society. The norms could be different from each country and form of government. There are also cases when parenting needs to follow some dictates of a religion.
In parenting, there are those who neglect or abuse as parents. Some of them could have been raised that way and it is that is how they learned about parenting. Until the 1950s or 60s parenting laws were still lax. Because of that, there have been parental abandonment issues that virtually wrecked homes and families. There were cases that are actually total neglect of obligations to children and could be considered abandonment. To many, life has become more difficult than before, probably except to those who are well. Parenting has likewise become more difficult these days. Children learn more at young age in this high tech age and are more difficult to control. This is aside from the influences in society like drugs and alcohol that can get children to be wayward.
